For many generations, the Family Wertek has been growing wine here in Bad Vöslau. In the last decades many efforts were made to come up with new innovations year for year.
In 2005 we started to build the current Schlossberg winery and were able to open the Heurigen and shop in 2009. Today we work together with a highly motivated team to fulfill the wishes of our guests.
Markus Wertek
In 2006 I graduated with honors from HBLA and BA for viticulture and fruit growing. Today I am a trained oenologist and pomologist (wine grower and fruit grower).
After graduating from High School and joining the army, I spent a few months in New Zealand, where I gained a lot of experience in the grape harvest.I am looking forward to meet you!
Franz Wertek
When I was 16 years old, I took over the winery from my parents. By the time I restructured the wine and arable farming business into a quality wine-oriented winery and expanded the vineyard area.
Ingrid Wertek
I originally come from the construction industry and discovered my love for wine when I married Franz. Today I am mainly responsible for the Heurigen buffet and the wine sales. Although I retired in 2021, I am still working at the Heurigen as I enjoy spending my time here.
Claudia Burger, MA
I studied Marketing and Business administration in Krems with focus on food and sustainability. During this time, I got to know my boyfriend, Markus. In 2019 after graduating my studies in Krems, I successfully completed my apprenticeship as a confectioner. Already in 2020, I started my own business as a pastry chef. I invite you to taste a various range of home-made pastries at the Heurigen.
