From the grape to the wine

To achieve excellent quality, we do not leave anything to chance. We control every step from the grape to the finished wine product.

After a busy summer season in the vineyards, the grapes come to our press house. Our motto: “The quality is already created in the vineyards – we can only maintain it in the cellar.”

To maintain the high quality, the grapes and the grape mash are not pumped but transported in a very gentle free fall. A large cooling system, a new wine press as well as new tanks make the wine production easier and more superior.

The wines are pressed by Markus Wertek. The trained oenologist gained his expertise not only at school but also at in internship in New Zealand. His knowledge together with the experience of his father Franz Wertek makes it possible to produce high quality wines.
